The Skilled Migration Program welcomes professionals whose occupations are on the Skilled Occupation List to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) via Skill Select. This enables Australian immigration officials to analyze your profile. The Australia Skilled Migration Program has several subclasses, and candidates must choose the one that best suits their qualifications and circumstances.
The Skilled Independent Visa (subclass 189) is a points-based visa for applicants who have not been sponsored by an employer, state, territory, or family member.
The Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190) is a points-based visa for applicants who have been nominated by an Australian state or territory. You can apply for this visa even if you have not been nominated by an employer.
To be eligible for the Subclass 190 visa, applicants must have worked in a nominated occupation on Australia's Skilled Occupations List and acquire a skill assessment report from an authorized authority for that occupation. This visa is intended for prospective immigrants whose skills are in demand in certain Australian states. It is especially useful for people who may not fit the criteria for a Skilled Independent Visa under the Skilled Migration Program. The Subclass 190 visa permits an Australian state or territory to designate skilled professionals and craftsmen.
The Skilled - Recognized Graduate Visa (subclass 476) allows recent engineering graduates to live, work, or study in Australia for up to 18 months. To be eligible, applicants must have earned a degree from a recognized institution within the last two years and be under the age of 31.
Graduate Temporary Visa (Subclass 485): This visa is for overseas students who have spent at least two years studying in Australia. It enables graduates to live, work, and gain practical experience in their field once they complete their studies.
Skilled - Nominated or Sponsored Provisional Visa (subclass 491): This points-based visa is intended for candidates nominated by an Australian state or territory or a relative living in a regional area (excluding Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane). It entitles holders to live and work in specific geographic zones, with the freedom to move between them. This temporary visa is available for five years and can lead to permanent residency after three years of employment at a minimum annual salary of AUD 53,900. Applications for the Subclass 491 visa qualify for priority processing.
